Paul is part owner of the centre and is the Director of Technology and Activities.
Paul has an MA in Applied Linguistics (TESOL), a BSc in Psychology and a Trinity College certificate in TESOL.
Paul has taught English and computer studies in universities, private schools and non-government organisations around the world, particularly in Asia. Recently, Paul has been teaching at these institutions:
- Akita International University, Akita, Japan
- Massey University, Wellington, New Zealand
- Capital Language Academy, Wellington, New Zealand
- Australian Centre for Education, Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Paul has also had considerable experience in the Information Technology industry and has designed and installed several e-learning systems. He is also especially interested in learner autonomy. Paul has designed and taught general English, business English, English
for Computers, IELTS, TOEFL & TOEIC preparation, academic and
Government language programs.
In 1990, Paul received his fixed wing pilot licence (PPL) and has been closely involved with a local flying school, Wanaka Helicopters, for the past few years. Paul runs an intensive English for Aviation course to help ESL pilots achieve and maintain the new ICAO English Proficiency Level 4.
Paul enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, Aikido, rock climbing, flying and the odd dance party.
